Business Analysts Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Manages Business Analysts in accordance with organizational policies and goals. Ensures the development of processes and business practices in order to help business operations groups utilize information systems to improve their efficiency.

 

COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS

Works closely with all necessary departments to ensure that utilization management processes, programs and services are accomplished in a timely and efficient manner. Works in accordance with CHG policies and procedures, and in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, including CMS, DMHC and DHCS.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for end to end delivery of assigned project including project planning, execution, monitoring and reporting.

  • Build an effective team by recruiting talented developers.

  • Ensure business analysts understand the customer’s objective, business processes and products, as well as system capabilities in order to drive solutions that meet the business needs.

  • Manage activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.

  • Manages the collection of documentation associated with processes and new business requirements.

  • Manages resources, staff projects and release activities

  • Properly forecast, tract actual and manage capacity.

  • Provide oversight in the development and evolution of quality guidelines to implement best practice standards and techniques for business analysis discipline.

  • Facilitates the updating and expansion of existing programs.

  • Manages the building and use of computer-assisted software engineering tools.

  • Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.

  • Develops and implements systems and structures to ensure staff competency and compliance with applicable policies, procedures, federal and state regulations.

  • Promotes a positive image of the organization and the department in all aspects of communication and contact.

  • Identifies staff development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained.

  • Manages the activities of data processing operations with programming, systems analysis, and with users.

  • Performs related duties as required or assigned.

 

 

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.

 

EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS

  • Approximately 4 to 6 years of experience in information technology

  • Considerable knowledge of training and supervisory techniques.

  • Ability to identify problems associated with operating system malfunctions.

  • Ability to key in coded information and instructions.

  • Extensive knowledge in systems analysis and information system concepts, techniques, and operating principles.

  • Knowledge of program specification, designing, testing and prototyping.

  • Advance project management skills desirable.

  • Ability to lead and motivate others.

  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

  • Ability to efficiently manage time, and organize.

  • Strong communication skills, oral and written.
