Access to Care Modifications:

  • CHG will extend filing deadlines for Grievances and requests for Appeals
  • CHG will relax time limits for prior authorizations, pre-certifications, and referrals. Prior authorizations will not be required for emergency room care, as outlined in Utilization Management Policy No. 7251.8a, “Review of Requests for Health Care Services”
  • CHG will extend filing deadlines for claims and pay emergency room clean claims within 45 calendar days outlined in Claims Policy No. 8811a, “Emergent Care Claim Payment Criteria”

How to Stay Connected During the Emergency:

  • CHG website - Provider Alerts: Emergency notification will be posted
  • Emergency Alert Call: An emergency call will be initiated to the mobile phone number on file
  • Automated Text Message: An emergency message will be sent via a text message to the mobile phone number on file
  • Provider Portal - https://extra.chgsd.com: Emergency notification will be posted for Providers
